This evening just before 9pm Taskforce Box 861 was alerted for a dwelling fire in the Cherrywood Section of Gloucester Twp. 8401 (Chief Cipriano) arrived as the first due commanding officer and confirmed a report of fire showing from the roof. Ladder 62 and Squad 62 arrived and stretched an attack line to the seat of the fire. Engine 842 arrived as the fourth due engine and secured the electrical panel then began opening the ceilings on the first floor of the main fire unit. Ladder 84 arrived as the second due truck and went to the roof to check for extension. The fire was placed under control in approximately 30 mins and crews began returning to service.
This fire in currently under investigation by the local fire marshal. No injuries were reported.
