Squad 84
Squad 84 is a 2021 Spartan Rescue Pumper with a 2000 GPM pump and carries 750 gallons of water. Seating 6 Firefighters, Squad 84 is the primary reponse apparatus for motor vehicle accidents for Backwood, carrying a wide variety of Rescue tools from auto extrication to rope and water rescue. Squad 84 is located at our Central Ave Fire Station.
Utility 84
Utility 84 is a 2010 Ford 550 Super Duty. The Utility Vehicle is a specialized apparatus equipped to deliver firefighters to an emergency scene to provide manpower. The vehicle is equipped to replenish empty SCBA bottles, as well as handle routine emergencies. The Utility is equipped for Water / Ice Rescues, as well as act as a Rapid Intervention Crew.
Command 84
2021 Chevy Tahoe 4x4 SUV, used as the Command Vehicle for the Department Chief.
Support 84
2007 Ford F250 XL Crew Cab 4x4 Pick Up with Short Box. Primarily used to transport additional Personnel and equipment to emergency scenes.
