Engine 84
Engine 84 is a 1996 RD Muarry / Spartan Fire Engine, with a 1500 GPM single stage fire pumps and 750 gallon water tanks. The engine also carries a foam tank with 50 gallons of alcohol resistant aqueous film forming foam (AR-AFFF). Seats 6 firefighters, and also carries a combination rescue tool and a limited supply of cribbing. The engine is located at our Central Ave Station.
Tower Ladder 84
Tower Ladder 84 is a 2002 KME 95’ Quint / Mid-Mount Aerial Apparatus. With 95’ Mid Mount Aerialcat 5 Section Platform Ladder, and a 300 gallon Hale Centrifugal Pump rated at 2500 GPM @ 150 PSI, seating 8 firefighters, Tower 84 is located at our Central Avenue Fire Station..
Squad 84
Squad 84 is a 2021 Spartan Rescue Pumper with a 2000 GPM pump and carries 750 gallons of water. Seating 6 Firefighters, Squad 84 is the primary reponse apparatus for motor vehicle accidents for Backwood, carrying a wide variety of Rescue tools from auto extrication to rope and water rescue. Squad 84 is located at our Central Ave Fire Station.
Command 84
2021 Chevy Tahoe 4x4 SUV, used as the Command Vehicle for the Department Chief.
Support 84
2007 Ford F250 XL Crew Cab 4x4 Pick Up with Short Box. Primarily used to transport additional Personnel and equipment to emergency scenes.
