This morning just before 8am Taskforce Box 84 was alerted to the ShopRite on Blackwood Clementon Rd for a reported Building Fire. First arriving companies located a trailer connected to the loading dock well involved. Squad 84 responded with a crew of 6 and arrived as the third due engine. The Squad Crew preformed a primary search of the interior then was sent to the roof to assist in fire attack. The fire was contained to the trailer with Minor extension to the store. The fire was placed under control in just over an hour, and is under investigation by the Local & County Fire Marshals.
National Night Out is Back!
National Night Out was officially back in Blackwood! We had a great night and we hope everyone else did too! We cannot wait to see everyone next year!
Squad Co. to District 5 2nd Alarm
Just before 8pm on Monday evening, Companies we’re dispatched for a reported house fire in the Lambs Terrace Section. County Communications Dispatchers we’re receiving multiple calls and the Working Fire was declared. First arriving crews encountered heavy fire conditions upon intial attack. Squad Co 84 arrived and acted as the Third Due Truck Company on the “C Division”. The fire was placed under control in approximately 20 mins.
No injuries to the public were reported, this fire is under investigation by the local fire marshal.
Squad 84 Officially In Service!
We are happy to announce that after several months of outfitting and training, Squad Company 84 is OFFICIALLY in service. To many people thank you for getting us this far. Squad 84 will now proudly serve Blackwood and surrounding areas.
Working Fire in District 2
On 3/8/22 Taskforce 82 was dispatched for a reported dwelling fire. Shortly after the assignment was dispatched the Blue Anchor Fire Tower advised County Communications they had a visible column. (The fire tower is located in Winslow Twp) crews arrived and were met with a fully involved structure. Crews from Gloucester Township & Runnemede worked together to extinguish the fire. The fire is under investigation by FM82 and CFM1.
32nd Annual Blackwood Fire Company Christmas Parade
It's almost time!!!
Saturday December 4th at 6pm the Blackwood Fire Company will be hosting our 32nd annual Christmas parade. The parade will start at Davistown Road and the Black Horse Pike, traveling North through downtown Blackwood to Church Street. Afterwards feel free to stop in and visit Santa, get some hot chocolate and cookies at the firehouse. Awards will also be announced at the firehouse as well.
For those who wish to participate in the parade, there is no pre-registration, you can register that night at the C.W. Lewis School on Erial Road, starting at 4pm.

Rollover MVA
Just after 10pm Stations 84, 82, 86 and Squad 88 were dispatched to the area of the Dave & Busters on Premium Outlets Drive for a reported Motor Vehicle Crash with Entrapment. 8401 (Cipriano) arrived to find a vehicle in the embankment, and confirmed there was no entrapment. Rescue 84 and Engine 84 responded and provided manpower while BLS and ALS assessed the occupants.
Two people were transported to local hospitals for further assessment, this accident is under investigation by GloTwp Police.

Working Fire in Cherrywood Section.
Just before 1am Taskforce Box 84 was transmitted for smoke in a residence in the Cherrywood Section. Squad 88 arrived to find smoke showing from both floors and stretched a 1.75” attack line. 8401 (Cipriano) arrived to confirm report, assumed command, and requested the Working Fire Box be filled. Engine 84 with a crew of 4 arrived and was ordered to stretch an additional line to the second floor. Fire was located in a rear room and extending into the second floor and crews worked quickly to extinguish such. The fire was placed under control in just about 40 minutes, with no injuries reported.
This fire is under investigation by the local fire marshal
Working Fire in Blackwood
Thursday Night just after 11pm Taskforce Box 84 was alerted for smoke in the hallway at a local apartment complex. 8402 (Coucoules) arrived with smoke showing from the third floor. Engine 84 arrived and laid a supply line, while Tower 62 made access. A fire was located in a third floor apartment and was extinguished by companies on scene.
No injuries were reported, this fire is under investigation by the local and county fire marshal.
