At 0333 hrs Taskforce 83 was dispatched to the Howard Johnson Inn on the Blackhorse Pike for a reported building fire. Engine 88 reported at 1/4 mile away they had visible fire and struck the second alarm, Engine 88 arrived shortly after and confirmed their report. Engine 842 responded with a crew of 5, arrived third due, and established a primary water supply. Tower 84 arrived as the fourth due truck company, and went up to the roof to ventilate.
The fire was placed under control in just 2 hours and crews operated for just under 4 hours. In all 4 Alarms were struck.
No injuries were reported to any civilians or first responders.
