A Message to Blackwood Residents

The Blackwood Fire Company would like to inform anyone that may request a birthday drive-bye that we will no longer be doing them. Everytime the trucks and members leave the station, upon their return they have to disinfect the fire trucks and anything that may have been used. Every members must wear a mask while out in public and these masks and cleaning suppiles are hard to come by currently. We understand that the kids love the fire trucks. We do too! However it is alot of work to do before and after to keep us all safe and healthy while maintaining the 6 foot social distancing. We hope you all had a good Easter!

Gloucester Township Emergency Services accept "Special Mission"

What happens when you have a young man in in your First-Due Local who loves Firetrucks and anything with flashing lights, and who also is turning fours years old, but cannot have a proper party due to recent Public Health Restrictions? Well the answer is pile onto every piece of apparatus and put on his very own private parade making all the noise possible!

“And then this happened... we had hoped for maybe a Firetruck to drive by or a cop car, but Gloucester Township Police, Blackwood Fire Company and the AMR Ambulances really surprised us! Thank you so much for driving by to surprise Liam on his special day. We are overwhelmed with gratitude”

A qoute from Mom on a Facebook video of Patrol Cars, Command units, A SWAT Truck, Fire Trucks, and Ambulances parading down the street to wish Liam one big Happy Birthday.

It’s the little things like this that make us all proud to be Members / Employees of these organizations here in our own home town.

A big thank you to Gloucester Twp. Police Dept., AMR EMS, and Virtua Paramedics for assisting us in this special mission, we couldn’t have pulled it off without you.

A message from BFC

In the recent months the Blackwood FC Membership has met to discuss our upcoming flower sale for Easter. It has been decided that we will NOT be selling Easter Flowers this year. Mainly due to recent public health restrictions that are set for an unforeseen amount of time. The health of our Members along with the Citizens we serve is our biggest concern, and by limited exposure we can hopefully overcome this soon. We apologize to those loyal customers who came out each year and thank you for your contributions.

Thank you for understanding, and Enjoy your Easter!!!
