All Hands Dwelling Fire in District 6

This evening just after 6pm TaskForce 86-2 was alerted to a Dwelling Fire with people trapped in the Brittany Woods Neighborhood in Gloucester Twp. First arriving crews found fire showing from a second floor window. Primary searches were found to be negative. Ladder 84 responded with a crew of 6, Ladder 84 acted as the second due truck company and opened up ceilings in the fire apartment and the neighboring apartment (for precaution).

No injuries were reported, this fire in under investigation by the local fire marshal.

Blackwood Fire Company launches first ever Fire Cadet Program in Glo. Twp.

This past Wednesday evening, three young men were administered their Oaths of Office to be Blackwood's very first Fire Cadets. Fire Cadets Michael Crowley, Shane Hyndman and Tyler Shrader were sworn in by Board of Fire Commissioners' Solicitor David Carlamere. The members of the Blackwood Fire Company were very proud to welcome these three young men as they took their oath. They are on the path to becoming some of Blackwood's Bravest.

Blackwood Fire Company St. Baldricks event March 31st at the Palace

All Hands Apartment Fire in Blackwood

Tuesday Night at approximately 19:01 hrs Taskforce 84 was dispatched to the Huntington Mews Apartments off of Broadacres Drive for a reported multi-residential fire. 8401 (Chief Cipriano) arrived with smoke showing and requested the Working Fire Dispatch. Ladder 84 arrived as the First Due Truck and forced the front door, made entry, and searched the apartment. Engine 88 arrived, laid a supply line, and stretched an 1 3/4" handline. The bulk of the fire was knocked with a PW Can from Ladder 84. The fire was held to the kitchen of the one apartment. Crews completed overhaul and went available a short time later. No injuries were reported, this fire is under investigation by the local Fire Marshal.

This is the fourth fire for Blackwood in the last 7 days. Keep up the good work men.

2 Alarm Apartment Fire in GT

On Sunday February 17th at approximately 10:05PM fire departments responded from Chews Landing, Blackwood, Blenheim, Erial, Lambs Terrace, Runnemede, Pine Hill, Lindenwold, Bellmawr and Somerdale to the 400 block of 1341 Blackwood Clementon Road Clementon, NJ 08021 (Millbridge Gardens Apartments) for a report of flames coming from a balcony. Upon arrival, the balcony and the connected apartment were fully engulfed with flames. A short time later the fire was placed under control.

Gloucester Township OEM and the American Red Cross assisted the displaced families.
This fire is under investigation by the Chews Landing Fire Marshal and the Camden County Fire Marshal's Office. One injury to a firefighter was reported, who has since been treated and released.

Dwelling Fire in Pine Hill

Task force 621 Across from 808 Blackwood Clementon Rd dispatched as a dwelling fire. Deputy Chief Greer of the Pine Hill Fire Department arrived first due confirming a two story well involved. Engine 62 arrived, established a water supply and began a primary fire attack with Engine 88. Engine 842 arrived as the third due engine and reported to the Charlie Division and began ventilating. The fire was placed under control approximately 45 minutes after being dispatched. No injuries were reported.

This fire is under investigation by the Pine Hill Fire Marshal and the Camden County Fire Marshal.
